Edmonton Chapter Breakfast (November 29, 2025) at 9:30 AM
Edmonton Clinical Health Academy (University of Alberta)

We’d like to welcome you to join us for our next CMDA-Edmonton Chapter catered Buffet Breakfast Meeting which is scheduled for Saturday, November 29th at 9:30 AM.  We are privileged to have several guest speakers with us for this event.  The title of the presentation is “A Mission Field at Home”, where we’ll get an inside view of the Hope Mission here in Edmonton, and the mission-work accomplished with this outreach.  The Speakers and their Bios are provided below:

Dr. Dylan Taylor: Dr. Taylor was a cardiologist at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute for 35 years before he retired about a year ago.  His work included clinical cardiology, teaching, as well as involvement in research. He was Medical Director at the University of Alberta Hospital and Associate Edmonton Zone Medical Director for 20 years before his retirement.  He has worked at Hope Mission since his appointment as Medical Director of the Hope Mission Medical Clinics on January 1, 2025. He felt called to personally enact the message of Matthew 25:40 when he accepted this position.  He and his wife Elaine have four adult children and six grandchildren, all of whom he adores.

Reverend Kevin Wiebe: Rev. Wiebe serves in the Community Engagement department at Hope Mission as the Donor Relations Manager. He is the author of the book Faithful in Small Things (Herald Press, 2021). Having been educated at Providence University College, the University of Waterloo, and Tyndale University, he has been serving in church and non-profit leadership since 2005. Kevin and his wife Emily have 3 children.

Elisabeth (Beth) Klingenberg: Beth is a Registered Nurse and Manager of Health Services at Hope Mission. She completed her first Bachelor’s degree at Mount Royal University for Health Sciences where she took a minor in Social Innovation and Non-Profit Management. When trying to identify the right professional health program to move on to, it became clear that God was calling her to nursing and attended the U of A’s After degree nursing program. Beth has always valued community and helping the vulnerable and felt God was preparing her for the work she does with Hope Mission throughout her life.

Tim Pasma: Tim serves as the Senior Director at Hope Mission, where he leads programs supporting people experiencing homelessness. He holds a degree in Political Science and Economics and spent 10 years in business before moving into non-profit leadership. Tim lives in Edmonton with his wife, Kathryn, and their four children.
