Leveraging Our Medical Practice for the Kingdom – Dr. Blake Poleynard

Dr. Blake Poleynard has an interesting and unique testimony in this regard. Blake is a radiologist practicing in South Carolina in the US. He practiced hospital-based radiology from 1997 – 2015, and grew in his understanding of what it meant to be a Christian in practice. He continues to be involved in an NGO that provides mobile ultrasounds used in remote settings worldwide as an additional diagnostic tool. He is also involved in medical education in countries that require his expertise.

While Blake acknowledges that Canada and the United States are culturally different, much in his presentation is relevant to Canadian doctors or dentists who wish to be more of a Christian witness. Sometimes Christian practitioners can question how God can use them with their unique talents and circumstances. Blake’s story demonstrates that everyone can find a place to serve the Lord in His kingdom.

Blake recently travelled to Halifax, NS on church business and presented his work to staff and members. We asked him to give this presentation to the larger CMDA Canada family. We know you will enjoy meeting him.
