Hippocratic Oath Ceremony – June 5th at 6:15pm ET In-person in Quebec and online 

The ceremony will feature Archbishop Lépine and Dr. David Guretzki. The ceremony will be hosted in person in Quebec at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral and online for those from other provinces.

The Hippocratic Oath 

Three online workshops were held leading up to a recommitment to Hippocratic Medicine. The workshops included:

An Overview of the Hippocratic Oath with Dr. John Patrick – March 28th at 8pm ET on Zoom Dr. John Patrick was Associate Professor in Clinical Nutrition in the Department of Biochemistry and Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa for 20 years. Today John speaks to Christian and secular groups around the world, communicating effectively on medical ethics, culture, public policy, and the integration of faith and science.

A Conversation on Abortion with Dr. Cory Labrecque, PhD – April 25th at 8pm ET on Zoom Dr. Cory Labrecque is the Director of Graduate Programs in Theology, Vice-Dean, and Associate Professor at Université Laval.

A Conversation on Medical Assistance in Dying with Dr. David Guretzki, PhD – May 30th at 8pm ET on Zoom Dr. David Guretzki is the Executive Vice-President and Resident Theologian of the EFC. He previously served on the EFC Board for nine years and worked since the 1990s as Dean of Briercrest Seminary and Professor of Theology and Public Life.
